Thief 2 - Replacement Compass
-----------------------------

A replacement for the standard Thief/Thief2 compass with individual
compass point letters and a bronze/glass centre. I'm not really happy
with this, it needs quite a bit of work - expect this to be changed
at some point (I should be using the same object name, so you can
use this and just replace it with the updated one if/when I do it.)

Contents
--------

This archive should contain the following files:

readme.txt - this file
compass3.jpg - picture of the compass
obj/compass3.bin - compass object
txt16/lmpiron.gif - texture used on the letters
          cmpbase3.gif - base texture
          compass3.gif - top texture
src/compass3.3ds - 3dsmax model
    compass3.e - unedited .e file

The contents of the src folder are not required to use these objects,
if you are not interested in the source objects, ignore the src
directory.

Installing
----------

Unpack the archive somewhere, obj directory into your Thief2
directory. Now start dromed. To use the object you'll have to
modify your gamesys:

 1. Open the Object Hierarchy (Editors menu)
 2. Open physical -> Tulz
 3. Select Compass2
 4. Click Add
       New Object Name: Compass3
       Click OK
 5. Select Compass3
 6. Click Edit
 7. Add Shape -> Model Name
       compass3
       Click OK
 8. Click Done
 9. click Close.

Now save your gamesys (don't overwrite dark.mis!). If you were not using
a custom gamesys before, remember to use set_gamesys and save your .mis

Known Bugs
----------

It doesn't look much good. This is a bug, not a feature.
