		BINSKINS

BinSkins produces lists of the image files used in Thief 2 bin files.

Unzip it into your mesh or obj folders or both. It will read through all subfolders so you can just drop it in your main thief folder if you prefer but it will then also read in other bin files like in the books folder and it doesn't show which are mesh or obj so I reckon it's better in those folders.

BinSkins produces SIX outputs: BinBins and BinSkins in .txt (plain text), .csv (spreadsheet), and html (webpage)formats in the same folder as the program.

BinBins is a list of the binary files with the image files they use with all images on the right and the list is sorted in alpha order.

BinSkins is a list of the image files used in the bins sorted into alpha order. All duplicates within the same bin are removed and where different bins use the same image file they are all together on one line. It's working here in XP home and I'm pretty certain it will work in Win98. As for Vista - best of luck with that.

It does NOT look in your original CRF files. If you want lists from those then extract them first into a temp folder and run BinSkins from there. The OBJ one in particular will take many minutes for BinSkins to process sort the near 2000 bins and images. But the typical FM will only have a few dozen or a few hundred and this will only take seconds.

BinSkins should find all GIF, PCX, TGA, and BMP files within BINs. It is dumb so I guess if you made a file with HaHa.bmpHaHa.pcx then it might get confused.

BinSkins is public domain so no acknowledgements needed. Use it distribute it. But first, test it! Works for me.
