1. What is it?
FlipTIB - is a tiny utility intended to control the behavior of some old programs, which are "glitching" on PCs with multi-core CPUs. If you have a program (more likely a game ;)) which perfectly worked on your old PC with a single-core CPU but which suddenly started to "glitch" on your brand new PC with a multi-core CPU, then FlipTIB can help you.

2. What "glitches" do I mean?
They are often expressed in abnormal behavior of the program. It can start to "twitch" out of the blue, or work too quickly/slowly, or hiccup, or even freeze.
In my case there were these games: Dark Engine based (Thief 1: The Dark Project & Gold, Thief 2: The Metal Age, System Shock 2), Unreal Engine 1 based (Unreal 1 & Gold, Unreal Tournament 1, Wheel of Time, Deus Ex 1, Rune, Clive Barker's Undying), Unreal Engine 2 based (Unreal 2: Awakening, Unreal Tournament 2003 & 2004, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell 1 & 2, Deus Ex 2: Invisible War, Thief 3: Deadly Shadows, Tribes: Vengeance), some pre-2008 Source Engine based games (Half-life 2 & Episode 1 & Episode 2, Portal 1, Team Fortress 2, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic).

3. How to learn whether the multi-core CPU is in my PC?
Easily. Open "System" (Win+Pause), then "Hardware"->"Device Manager"->"Processors." If you see a several (not a one) CPUs, it does mean that your PC has a multi-core CPU or even a several of them. If you see just one CPU, then there is no need to use FlipTIB.

4. How to use this utility?
Install FlipTIB, find the shortcut of the "glitching" program (or its executable file) and click the Right Mouse Button in order to summon the contextual menu, then choose 'FlipTIB: "single-core" mode.' From now on, the program will run as if your PC has a single-core CPU.

5. How to roll back?
If "glitches" remain, it does mean that your problem is in something different. In this case you can return the program its previous condition having chosen 'FlipTIB: "multi-core" mode.' Remember, FlipTIB - is not a cure for all, it's just a simple cure for certain cases. Be not discouraged if FlipTIB won't help you and try to look for a patch for your program or ask some guru for the help over the Net. Good luck :)!
